How
can I place an order? / Is the order system secure?
We deliver to customers in the UK and also World Wide, please see above.
We have an interactive shopping cart on the site to allow you to name your start 24 hours a day.
You can order as many gift packs as you like, each one will be placed in your "shopping basket" until you are ready to checkout, and be transferred to
our secure payment provider, Paypal.
The on-line card payments
are carried out on our behalf by Paypal to ensure your card details are kept as secure as possible.
Paypal secure encryption pages offer the highest
level of security and encryption. Whilst you are entering
your card details you will see a secure padlock(internet explorer) or a key (Netscape). We do not hold or see your card details as these details are provided
directly through Paypal's secure server.

Our preferred deliver method is Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. Delivery normally occurs within 48 hours - to 5 days of the order being placed, although during busy times, br> please allow up 5 working days.
Gift packs should be sent to an address where someone is available to sign - (e.g a neighbour or a place of work.). Back to top
Our returns policy?
We will replace any goods damaged in transit where the
postal receipt has been identified as "damaged" by Royal Mail.
We pack each item safely to ensure that they arrive to you in the best possible condition. However,
if goods are damaged, we will replace the items free of charge on return of the damaged items.
Goods must be returned
in their original condition and packaging for a refund. We will not offer refunds where the product contains spelling mistakes or incorrect details supplied by you.
If we are in error then we will offer a replacement and/or refund.
Please note that refunds
can only be made using the same method as the original payment. We reserve the right to charge £10 for each individual gift pack
returned to cover the cost of items personalised
to your instructions.
Refunds will only be given if the gift pack is lost or damaged, or incorrect information is printed because of our error and you refuse the offer of this being rectified.
Why
hasn't my order been processed?
Sometimes an order cannot be processed for the following reasons:
• You did not follow instructions and press the very last button 'RETURN TO MERCHANT BUTTON' at Paypal
• We need further details from you if this happens- in fact we will need you to supply all details of your order as we wont have got it. (e.g. address incomplete)
• The gift pack contains material that is threatening or offensive
• Payment was declined (you will receive an email at the time of ordering to state payment result)
Personalised
Certificates - our policy on acceptable content?
Content of a threatening or offensive nature are not accepted and is against the law to be printed.
If the message you want displayed on the certificate is of a "risky" nature, we do provide blank certificates for you to complete yourself.
We cannot offer refunds on blank certificates if they have been written, printed or marked in any way which makes them un-resellable. Back to top
Can
I buy / own a star?
Stars are not physicaly for sale as they don't belong to any governing body to claim "tenancy" against. Therefore it is not possible to "own" a star as a matter of property.
Naming a star is therefore a novelty gift idea that holds no legal posession rights.
The star named will, most importantly,
be a fond a unique gift to treasure as a memory of the
special message or occasion for which the gift was given. Your Star will be a real star, unique to you in our deed data base and your on-line message will be eternal.

Will
my star name be officially recognised?
Official names for celestial objects are
assigned by the International Astronomical Union. The I.A.U. does not
offer a star naming service. Astronomers refer to the stars by their star
catalogue number or co-ordinates. Companies offering a star-naming service, like ourselves, will keep their own record of your naming of a star, no other person registering through the same company will be issued with the same number. However, other companies might sell the same star number registration.
We believe in providing you with all the information to make your own decision - we make the naming as special as possible so the receiver will be able to treasure the thought. Back to top
Can I view the Wish Upon A Star register of stars online?
Yes, provided you have at the minimum placed your stars name in the message box on your order form. Even if you choose not to do this and cannot view your star on our data base, your star is still allocated and unique to you .
When you name a star through wish-uponastar, we immediatly send you an email with your star number and a link to view the registry instantly. Simply click on the secret registry link on our web site and enter the star number
and you may view your message. The details contained in the register are
limited to protect the individual's privacy.
All new orders will be listed within minutes of the gift pack being issued - as soon as payment is processed, it's there for you to view!
